| Description:
Recent months have seen a rise in deaths of garden birds,
particularly among Finch species. These deaths have been
blamed on a variety of bacteria and viruses that are
transmitted from contaminated birds through feeding and
drinking.
Johnson’s Veterinary Products has introduced Clean ’n’ Safe
Bird Table, a broad-spectrum viracidal disinfectant and
cleaner formulated to kill viruses and bacteria commonly
found on bird tables, feeders, drinkers and baths.
It not only kills high profile viruses like the dangerous
H5N1 & H7N1 strains of Avian Influenza, but also deals
effectively with Hong Kong Virus, Rotavirus, Avian Herpes
etc.
The handy 500ml trigger spray, ready to use straight off
the shelf, will prove popular as more attention is drawn
to the plight of garden birds, already under threat from
’Bird Flu’. This product fills a gap in the wild bird
product range that has been overlooked by traditional
disinfectants, to give Britain’s bird loving public the
opportunity to lend a hand.
You should be aware that bird excrement represents a
potential hazard to humans, particularly when found on
outdoor furniture, children’s play equipment etc., and this
product offers a cheap and easy-to-use solution to the
problem. The timing of this product launch is perfect, as
your thoughts turn to the garden again as winter gives way
to spring.
How to Use: Using this ready mixed disinfectant couldn’t be
easier; simply shake bottle and turn nozzle to open.
Spray all surfaces from about 30cm (12”).
Leave the sprayed area for a short time, but do not allow
the area to dry. Wipe all surfaces clean and remove any waste
matter with kitchen towel. Once all bird excrement has
been removed, re- spray all the areas with a light mist and
this time leave to dry.
In areas where food is eaten e.g., bird tables, feeders, drinkers
and bird baths etc., rinse well with clean water after the
final disinfectant spray has dried. The spray should be
used regularly to protect birds against disease.
Effective against bacteria and viruses e.g.: Avian Influenza
Virus H5N1 and H7N1, Hong Kong Virus, Rotavirus, Avian Infectious
Laryngotracheitis, Avian Herpes Virus, Fowl Pox Virus, Pasteurella
multocida, Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa,
Escherichia coli, Salmonella typhimurium. |
